Our wider curriculum is carefully structured across the academic year to provide depth, balance and progression. In the Autumn term, teaching is led by a history focus, followed by a geography focus in the Spring term, which also includes a dedicated local history study to strengthen pupils’ understanding of their community and heritage. The Summer term returns to a history focus, allowing pupils to revisit and build upon key historical concepts and skills. These wider curriculum focuses are thoughtfully planned to incorporate, or run alongside, the teaching of all foundation subjects, ensuring full coverage and progression in line with the National Curriculum.
