This afternoon we have been learning about Fair Trade chocolate. (I wonder why Mrs Jones chose that!)
We looked at the process from bean to bar and then each had a role to play from farmers, chocolate companies, supermarkets to shoppers. We learnt that the farmers worke d hard but didn’t earn that much. Also the profits will vary greatly depending on the customers, the crop of beans and things like the weather too.
We had fun trading beans and bars of chocolate and learnt about the benefits of fair trade.
