Today we welcomed the Posada figures of Mary and Joseph into our classroom.
Posada is an old Mexican tradition where young people dressed as Mary and Joseph travelled from house to house asking for a room for the night, as well as telling people about the imminent arrival of Jesus in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
Here is a little more information about our Nativity figures.
Having these figures visit our classroom certainly helped us to remind us all about the true meaning of Christmas – the birth of Jesus, our Lord and Saviour.
