In Maths next week, we will be looking again at division and making sure we can solve mathematical problems and word problems. If you can help you child with dividing objects into groups, it will really help (especially with remainders).
In English, we will be continuing our historical novels, “The Thieves of Ostia” by Caroline Lawrence. The children finished writing a Roman story of their own this week so we will try to post some on the blog. We shall have an English teacher coming in to teach the children on a Thursday morning, which should add more interest for the class.
Next week is our second topic week on sound. We will be looking at how we make sounds and how we hear. Anyone musical please ask me about bringing in a musical instrument.
This week, a number of people didn’t read enough at home. Please keep making sure your children read at least 4 times a week. We were getting better at doing it so please make sure that each time they read with you, you sign their homework diary. Thank you, Mr Bradley.
