Welcome back. Hope you have all had an enjoyable half term holiday and will return on Monday refreshed and ready for the new half term.
This week we will begin a new English topic on playscripts. We will be reading a variety of playscripts and will be looking at turning a traditional story into a playscript.
In Maths, we will be recalling our fraction knowledge and applying our knowledge to answer real life questions, especially problems involving weight and measure.
We will be beginning a new topic all about our laws and the early law makers. If your child would like to hit the ground running, maybe they would like to do a little research about Magna Carta.
More children in year 4 got their bronze reading award just before half term and a number are very near to the 50 reads required for a bronze or the 100 reads required for a silver. Please keep reading every night with your child and write in their planner that you have heard your child read.
