In English this week, we are continuing Stories from Another Culture, reading more of “The Firework-Makers Daughter” by Philip Pullman (Lila has just got to Mount Merapi) and will continue writing our own stories based in Thailand. The English teacher, Miss Hind, will be coming in on Thursday to continue her animal poems.
In Maths, we will revising the four rules of number: addition, subtraction, multiplication and addition. If you can help you child to see that calculations come in all parts of life, it will really help.
Our Pupil Choice topic of baking went down well last week (or at least the pizza did) and today we started building gingerbread houses. Next week, we will get the roofs on the houses and then start to decorate.
Please make sure your children read at least 4 times a week. Make sure that each time your child reads with you, you sign their homework diary. Thank you, Mr Bradley.
